Creating an Account

Follow these steps to create a new account in DVOX Manager.


Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Access Account Creation

  1. Click the Accounts button in the navigation menu
  2. Click the + New Account button in the top right corner

Step 2: Fill Account Information Fields

Complete the following information about the account holder:

Required Fields:

  • Email address
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Company name
  • Phone number
  • Street address
  • City
  • Country
  • Province/State
  • Postal/Zip code

ℹ️

Use valid contact information as an activation email will be sent to the provided email address.

Step 3: Choose Permission Level

Select the appropriate account type:

  • Distributor — Device distribution (if permitted)
  • AV Pro — Setup professionals (if permitted)
  • Host — Full operational access
  • Tech — Event and stream management only

⚠️

**Tech Level** is recommended for most event operators who need to create and manage events and streams.

Step 3b: Choose Parent Account

Select the parent account for this new account. The parent account hierarchy determines:

  • What account types can be created
  • Inventory visibility
  • Event access

ℹ️

Your own account will be pre-selected as the parent. Only change this if you're creating accounts under another manager's hierarchy.

Step 4: Create Account

Click the Create Account button at the bottom of the form.


What Happens Next

  1. Activation Email Sent — An email with an activation link is automatically sent to the provided email address
  2. User Activates Account — The recipient clicks the activation link
  3. Password Setup — The user sets a new password
  4. Account Active — The account is ready to use

Activation Link Information

  • Links expire after 7 days
  • User must complete activation before they can log in
  • If the activation email is not received, check:
    • Junk mail and promotions folders
    • Email address spelling
    • Contact support at support@dvox.live if still missing

Common Mistakes

⚠️

**Wrong Email Address:** If the activation link was sent to the wrong email address, contact support@dvox.live as the link is tied to the specific email and must be reset by the support team.
  • Don’t forget company information (helpful for organizing accounts)
  • Double-check the email address for typos
  • Ensure the account type matches the user’s actual role
