Controllers Overview

From the Controller menu, you can get an overview of your DVOX unit inventory. This page shows all your hardware devices and their status.


Controller List Columns

Name

The serial number or custom name of each DVOX unit in your management pool. The serial number should match the serial number on the back of your audio acquisition device.

Model

The model type of the DVOX unit:

  • A/O — STEREO model
  • STD — AUDITORIUM or STADIUM model

Client

The account(s) associated with your DVOX unit. Shows which user accounts have access to this controller.

Last Online

The last time a DVOX unit sent its status to the server, along with its local IP address at that time.

Example: 2023-03-10 16:30:25 | 192.168.1.100

Status

Indicates if the controller is:

  • ONLINE (green) — Connected and responsive
  • OFFLINE (red) — Not responding to server queries

Actions Available

Information Button

Click the information icon to see detailed data about a specific controller:

  • Serial number (Product Code)
  • Current IP address on your network
  • Last update timestamp
  • Associated event (if active)

Bulk Actions

Select multiple controllers using checkboxes to:

  • Apply actions to multiple units at once
  • Filter by model type
  • Organize by client assignment

Rename Controller

Click the pen icon next to a controller’s name to:

  • Give it a custom, memorable name
  • Replace the default serial number display
  • Make it easier to identify in events

💡

**Pro Tip:** Name controllers by their physical location, such as "Front Door", "Main Stage", "VIP Lounge" so staff can easily identify which unit needs attention.

Filtering and Sorting

Use the toolbar to:

  • Filter by Model — Show only STEREO, AUDITORIUM, or STADIUM units
  • Filter by Status — Show online, offline, or available units
  • Search — Find controllers by name or serial number
  • Apply Bulk Actions — Work with multiple controllers

Total Count

The bottom of the list shows the total number of controllers in your system.


Managing Your Inventory

Adding Controllers

Controllers are automatically added to your inventory when purchased. Contact your DVOX representative if you need to add or remove units from your account.

Removing Controllers

Use the information panel for any controller to:

  • View assignment history
  • See if it’s currently in use
  • Request removal from inventory (contact support)

Monitoring Health

Regularly check this page to ensure:

  • All critical controllers are ONLINE
  • No unexpected controllers are offline
  • Inventory matches your physical units
  • Assignments align with your event schedule
