Connecting the DVOX STEREO

Connecting the DVOX STEREO

Connection Steps

Follow these steps in order to properly connect your DVOX unit:

Step 1: Connect Your Power Cable

Connect the DVOX unit’s power cable to a standard electrical outlet. The cable is NEMA 5-15 and included in your package.

Step 2: Plug Your XLR Audio

Connect your XLR audio cables to their respective AUDIO IN connectors:

  • AUDIO IN 1 — Left channel
  • AUDIO IN 2 — Right channel

ℹ️

Make sure audio volume is controlled at the source prior to connecting to the DVOX unit (inputs are standardized at 0 gain).

Step 3: Plug the Ethernet Cable to DVOX LAN Port

Connect the provided Cat6 Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the DVOX unit to your network.

Step 4: Turn On Your Device

The unit is ready to be turned on with the power switch near the power cable connector. The arrow light indicator will light up to indicate power on.

Power-Up Light Indicators

After turning on the unit, the arrow light on the front panel indicates the status:

  • Blue chasing — Unit is booting up
  • Yellow chasing — Unit has no network connection
  • Orange breathing — Firmware update is in progress
  • White static — Unit is ready for use

⚠️

Allow 5+ minutes for the unit to complete its initialization process. If the light is still chasing blue after 5 minutes, try power cycling the device (turn off, wait 10 seconds, turn back on).

Network Configuration and Whitelisting

MAC Address Whitelisting

⚠️

In order to work, the device should be **whitelisted on your network using the MAC address** located on the device label (sticker on the back of the unit).

How the Device Connects

The device uses:

  • Single LAN port — Set to acquire an IP address through DHCP
  • This port is also the main connection medium for client devices
  • Internet access for software version verification and automatic updates

Guest Network Configuration

When operating on a guest network, the device must be whitelisted for it to be:

  • Accessible to client devices
  • Able to connect and stream audio content

Setup Checklist

  • Device has obtained an IP address via DHCP
  • Device is whitelisted on the network using its MAC address
  • Device shows “White static” light (ready status)
  • Internet access is available for updates and verification
  • VoIP prioritization is active (if available on your network)

ℹ️

Once your device is properly connected and whitelisted, you're ready to proceed to [Configuration & First Login](/configuration/).
