Layout & Colors

From the Layout & Colors tab, you customize the guest-facing interface and create your audio streams.


Customizing Your Event Interface

Step 1: Create Stream Groups

In the left panel (interface preview), click Add Group to create a new stream group.

  • A group is a container for related streams
  • Example groups: “Main Stage”, “Breakout Rooms”, “VIP Lounge”
  • You can rename groups by clicking the pen icon

Step 2: Add Streams to Groups

Under each group, click Add Stream to create an individual audio stream.

  • Each stream represents one audio feed
  • Streams appear as buttons in the guest interface
  • You can rename streams by clicking the pen icon
  • You can add descriptions and change the stream image

Stream properties you can customize:

  • Name — What guests see (e.g., “Main Hall”, “Overflow”)
  • Description — Additional context (optional)
  • Image — Custom icon/thumbnail for the stream button

Customizing Event Branding

In the right panel, customize your event’s appearance:

Logo

  • Upload your event or organization logo
  • Appears at the top of the guest interface
  • Maximum requirements: Specific size and aspect ratio (check interface for specs)
  • Recommended: Square format, minimum 200x200px

Banner Image

  • Upload a banner image for the event
  • Appears prominently in the event header
  • Maximum requirements: Specific dimensions (landscape orientation recommended)
  • Recommended: 1200x400px or larger

Color Scheme

Customize the interface colors:

  • Primary Color — Used for buttons, accents, navigation
  • Secondary Color — Used for highlights and secondary elements
  • Text Color — Main text color for readability

Color Selection Methods:

  1. Hex Code Input — Paste a hex code (e.g., #FF5733)
  2. Color Picker — Click to open a visual color picker

Use colors that match your brand or event theme. Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background for accessibility.

Saving Presets

Once you’ve customized your layout and colors, save it as a preset:

  1. Click Save Preset at the bottom of the right panel
  2. Name your preset (e.g., “Winter Gala 2024”, “Blue Theme”)
  3. The preset is saved and can be reused for future events

Using Presets

  • Each event can use a different preset
  • Presets save both layout (groups/streams) AND colors
  • Star a preset to set it as the default for new events

Interface Preview

As you make changes, the left panel shows a live preview of how guests will see your event:

  • Logo and banner display
  • Color scheme applied
  • Stream buttons arranged by group
  • Interactive player area at the bottom

Adding Stream Images

For each stream, you can upload a custom image/icon:

  1. Click the stream’s pen icon
  2. Select “Change stream image”
  3. Upload an image file
  4. The image appears on the stream button in the guest interface

Use different images for each stream to help guests visually distinguish between audio feeds.

Best Practices

  • Consistent Branding — Use your organization’s official colors and logo
  • Clear Stream Names — Use descriptive names guests will understand
  • Test Colors — Review the preview to ensure readability and accessibility
  • Multiple Presets — Create different presets for different event types
  • Mobile Friendly — Remember guests will view this on smartphones

Troubleshooting

**Image Not Displaying?** - Check file size (images should be under 5MB) - Use common formats (JPG, PNG, GIF) - Verify the image dimensions match requirements **Colors Look Wrong?** - Clear your browser cache - Try using RGB or HSL values - Test in a different browser
